First stop: Longju Temple, where Buddha Master’s disciple Tonghui Dharma Master entered nirvana and left a body that doesn’t rot, the body sarira. Tonghui Dharma Master’s disciple Xian Master is the current abbot.
Wenshu Yuan Monastery: This temple was very busy. It’s a well known temple located in the center of Chengdu. My mom used to go a lot.
Baoguang Temple: Many of Buddha Master’s disciples were cremated at this temple. There were many holy miracles during and after the cremation of these holy beings. Buddha Master also lived here for a few years, expounding Buddha Dharma and drawing as an artist.
Wuzhong Mountain — Jiewang Temple: Upon arriving at the foot of Wuzhong Mountain we were greeted by Jiewang Temple. Dharma Master Guozhang, previous abbot of Jiewang Temple and a disciple of Buddha Master, entered nirvana at this temple and attained the body sarira.
Wuzhong Mountain — Mingyue Temple: Next to the Mingyue Temple is the Mingyue Pool. I noticed that only when I chanted Buddha Master’s Buddha name the fish moved towards me, but it could just be that they think I’m here to feed them.
