My Mom Brought Us Into Buddhism

"Ink Lotus" by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

I just saw this news article: “Ink Lotus’ By Contemporary Artist His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Sells For US $16.5 Million.

Just reminded me of something my mom once told me. When she first learned about Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III, she also came across slander online. People were saying things like, “Oh, he’s just an artist,” or “He was just a small-time artist at Baoguang Temple.” My mom’s reaction was like, “Well, if even a so-called small artist can create artwork this beautiful, there must be something extraordinary here.” She basically brushed off those kinds of dismissive comments from people who clearly didn’t understand.

We should ask ourselves: are Buddhas and Bodhisattvas worse at doing anything than ordinary human beings?
